What did you do to celebrate Valentine’s Day? We attended a conference, so no romance for us but our first day at the event was a big success. We went to a talk about vaccinations for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and a lecture about ultrasonography in pediatric patients, then we listened to a debate on how to reduce the long wait times for patients needing to see a rheumatologist.
Also, we interviewed Karen Tsui, a physiotherapist who lives with undifferentiated spondyloarthropy, Drs. Cheryl Barnabe and Andy Thompson (rheumatologists), Janet Yale, president of The Arthritis Society, and several researchers who shared the details of their studies.
We didn’t forget to take a break at the end of the day to enjoy a lovely dinner with Karen and then a walk to the ice sculptures of Winterlude.
You can keep up-to-date on our activities by following us on Facebook or join the conversation on Twitter using #CRAASM2013. The hashtag indicates the 2013 Canadian Rheumatology Association Annual Scientific Meeting.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
