A Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, Mr. Huw Irranca-Davies, led a debate in the House of Commons on ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
This is his wish list from that debate:
* Increase the awareness and recognition of AS
* Improve the way people with AS are referred
* MRI, instead of X-rays, for early diagnosis
* Improve access to the right specialists
* Improve access to the best medical and surgical advances
* Implement long-term monitoring by appropriate experts
* Develop quality standards and clinical guidelines for AS
