The Canadian Spondylitis Association invites you to participate in the second annual Walk Your A.S. Off challenge. Dust off your shoes; acquire a pedometer to track your daily steps; and starting March 1st join the community in walking for Ankylosing Spondylitis!
What is it? – Walk Your A.S. Off is a grassroots, community Walk for Ankylosing Spondylitis. Started and managed by AS advocate and SAA member, Jennifer Dye Visscher, this effort will take place over the span of two months as participants log the steps taken each day. It is an opportunity to walk with others in the spondylitis community for shared goals.
How does it work? – Join Team “A.S. Busters” by emailing team captain Michael Mallinson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Second, track the steps you take every day wherever you are, whether just walking around the house or out for exercise. It’s your choice. Send your steps in weekly to Michael. That’s all!
Why? – They are joining together to walk for our health & to raise awareness of Ankylosing Spondylitis. Make sure everyone you know knows why you are walking. Join them!
Optional: Want to fundraise along with walking? – You Can! Get sponsors or pledges for your steps and fundraise for CSA. This is entirely optional.
The Walk is taking place wherever you are, whenever you can do it. Walk alone, walk with friends & family, walk your dog, etc. Wherever you are, when you walk, you are walking with others with Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Print out this poster WALK YOUR AS OFF and put it on your wall for the month of March.
