Participants needed! Paid study on evaluating social presence cues in a virtual reality environment for aging adults with arthritis

Researchers from SFU’s Pain Studies Lab are looking for people with arthritis to evaluate and explore social aspects in a Virtual Reality (VR) environment built for aging arthritis patients.

You can participate if you have arthritis and are 50 years or older. Participants will be asked to experience two similar VR sessions (up to 20 minutes each, with 15 minutes interval), each followed by a questionnaire, and a one-on-one interview with a researcher regarding their experiences in the VR environments. The study will last for 1 to 1.5 hours.

Each participant will receive Canadian $25 for their participation and may benefit from experiencing an emerging form of technology and will contribute to research. The researchers are looking for eight participants.
