Arthritis Consumer Experts (“ACE”) is launching an exciting new JointHealth™ Education program called “Arthritis At Home.” The new program comes amidst a worldwide crisis, when most of our members, subscribers, fans and followers are confined to home facing even more challenges in their daily lives than they normally would. ACE is going to be there for you by delivering our arthritis experts “face-to-face” right in your home through our Facebook and YouTube channels (follow hashtag #ArthritisAtHome).
ACE has been on the frontline of credible, research-based patient education development and delivery for 20 years, and never have we seen a greater need for it than now. During the current COVID-19 outbreak, patients living with arthritis have many concerns and questions and are desperately trying to get the latest, credible information about COVID-19 and what it means for them from their peers online and from web searches. At the same time, healthcare professionals are increasingly looking to telehealth as a valuable tool to communicate and consult with their patients at home.
“ACE members have been telling us daily how stressed-out and even fearful they are about COVID-19. ACE believes COVID-19 will have a lasting effect on how patients living with arthritis will educate themselves and how healthcare will be delivered to them at home in the future. “Arthritis At Home” addresses this new need,” said ACE Founder and President, Cheryl Koehn.
This new addition to ACE’s JointHealth™ Education program was not just driven by the fact that nearly all of us are currently confined to our homes, but also because ACE is constantly looking for new ways to reach members where they live and feel most comfortable – at home. Written words can never be replaced to share arthritis facts and news but being able to see and hear directly from experts is more important than ever.
“Arthritis At Home” will come to patient-consumers’ homes beginning Monday, March 30th three times a week, on #MotivationMonday, #WellnessWednesday and #FactsFriday. Through our ACE Facebook page, visitors will get to meet many of the experts who over the past 20 years have informed and supported our education and information programming.
“Arthritis At Home” interviews with arthritis experts will be 10 minutes. Our invited guests will feature world experts in clinical rheumatology, arthritis scientists, physio and occupational therapists, psychologists, health economists, among other health subject matter experts. The program will also feature interviews with leading arthritis consumer-patient leaders and advocates who either work or volunteer in our community.
